Last night, I voted against the Fiscal Year 2015 Intelligence Authorization bill (H.R. 4681), which went on to pass the House by a 325-100 vote.  It will now be sent to the President for his signature.

We should not go to war in an absence of mind. But that is exactly what Congress has done by approving the National Defense Authorization Act today. This bill will continue U.S. military operations in Syria for two more years without debate and without Congressional authorization for the use of force in Syria through a separate, standalone bill.
